If you are:
- an elected representative or a technician working for a local or regional authority and in charge of transport and mobility policies,
- a scientist or a researcher in a public or private organisation, in charge of a research programme in the field of mobility,
- the member of a Non Governmental Organisation specialised in environment, social issues, mobility and transport,
We would like to invite you to share your experience during the 1st edition of "Governance & Mobility", the World Forum on Sustainable Mobility to be held in Nantes (France) from 10th to 12th December 2007.
Participants' expectations:
- Local authorities' representatives should explain the teachings of the mobility policies implemented so far, the complex issues about people's mobility and transportation of goods faced by their territory, the types of partnership led with research teams in this field and the results of the research conducted to meet the objectives of sustainable mobility in the territory.
- Scientists should present the outcome of the studies and research programmes set out on the conditions, the elements and the effects of mobility policies applicable to a territory. The research may concern energy, modes of transport, human behaviour, decision and management tools as well as instruments to assess policies, etc...
- Non Governmental Organisations, as part of the civil society, should clarify the debate between local authorities and researchers and should present the actions they have put in place in the field of sustainable transport and mobility.

Call for research projects

- an elected representative or a technician working for a local or regional authority and in charge of transport and mobility policies, climate plan, Agenda 21, environment, urban and regional planning,
- a scientist or a researcher in a public or private organisation, in charge of research programme with possible applications in the field of mobility,
- a member of a non governmental organisation specialised in environment, social issues, mobility and transport,
This call for research projects is for you.
With the first edition of « Governance & Mobility", the World Forum on Sustainable Mobility to be held in Nantes (France) from 10th to 12th December 2007, we invite you to take part in the development of international cooperation between researchers and local authorities via the presentation of your current and future research projects.
- Local authorities' representatives are invited to expose their needs for studies and solutions to the scientific world (research in fundamental sciences or in human and social sciences). Their aim is to find adequate answers to the complex issues related to definition, choice, implementation and assessment of mobility policies.
- Academics and scientists whose competence and specialisation may help clarify the decision of local authorities and governance actors (NGO), are invited to expose the results of their works as well as their future research projects. Their aim is to offer local authorities the possibility to implement these projects as new experimental fields such as energy, modes of transport, technology, urban planning, health, human behaviour, organisations' attitude, philosophy, law, economy, to cite but a few.
- NGO representatives are invited to propose to local authorities, academics and scientists, research projects that would involve them and that would meet citizens' expectations.
